BB Couture Sloth

There's still a few days left to enter my 100,000 Pageview Giveaway! Get on it, good people. :)

Look at me, still playing NOTD catch-up for you. I've got maybe five or six more to go in addition to what I'll be sharing for the rest of the week, but one post at a time ...

Today's post features one of my new favorite shades for fall, BB Couture Sloth.

Three coats with SV.

I. Am. In. Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuurve.

I didn't think I would feel this way about a vampy blackened shimmer -- or in this case, a browned one -- but boy, do I ever. In fact, when removing this polish after four days, I wanted to wear it again! This reminds me of OPI Germanicure and Oktoberfest, neither of which I own, but the idea is the same. The gold shimmer is more prominent in the bottle, although when combined with the red shimmer bits, you get a nice glow going on your nails, and who doesn't love that with these types of vampy shimmers?

The formula on this was one was thin, but applied nicely and was quite opaque in two coats. I did get a bit of tip wear and tiny chips on this, though I think that was because I wore this right before and during Sandy, and I did a lot of cooking that weekend. Just something to take into account.

Sloth was part of BB Couture's ladies' set from last fall's Sinfully Polished collection. Although I got my bottle from Kellie Gonzo's mega blog sale in September, you still can purchase Sloth directly from BB Couture and also from Overall Beauty for $10.95.

I'm still not sure what I think of Movember, but I really love the idea of mustaches, especially ironic ones. That's just something watching too much costume drama (and making fun of hipsters) will do to you.

This precious little guy is available at the MaryMaryHandmade Etsy shop for $60. I bought this spork necklace three years ago, and although it was super cute, I haven't the faintest idea how to clean sterling silver, so it's an unsightly color. :(

Any thoughts on Sloth: the polish, the animal or the vice? Sloth and gluttony are this girl's worst offenses, forever and ever, amen.

  1. Sloth is maj on you!! Love it =)

As for cleaning sterling silver, one of these works wonders:

If I remember correctly (my mom had them for both silver and gold jewelry), it should have a tray inside that you put your stuff on and then submerge it in the cleanser and then wipe off. It's quite simple =)

    1. LOL thank you bb. I love it, toooooooooo.

Thanks for the link! I'll definitely check it out. I have no knowledge of jewelry cleaning products, so this is quite helpful. :)

  2. I have that sloth necklace! Except without the mustache. Nate got it for me for my birthday!

That polish is beeeeeeeeeautifuuuuuuuuuuuuuul! But not as beautiful as a real sloth.

    1. OMG LOLLLLLLL do you have little sloth, baby sloth or happy sloth? :D I love her pieces, they're the best. I just hate sterling silver because like I said, IDK how to clean it.

I think you would rock this polish. And a pet sloth.

  3. Great colour. Beautiful, different and elegant. I just like it!

    1. Thank you! I love this one so much. Definitely elegant. :)

Thank you for checking out my little nail blog! I do read and appreciate your comments and/or feedback, although it might take me a few days to get back to you. Time-sensitive inquiries should be directed to my e-mail address (rachswatched@gmail).

Please be polite and respectful when responding to others' comments in a post; if you are rude, I will delete your comment and Hannibal Lecter will eat you. Please don't leave spam comments with blog links -- it's tacky and I don't do it. Neither should you.
