The Long Haul: November 2013

Before I begin, I need to plug my giveaway that began yesterday! Click on this post to read the rules and see the prizes, and enter if you haven't already. :)

The good news is that I managed to obtain my holiday-exclusive lemmings, yay! The bad ("bad"?) news, as I'm sure you've heard, is that I have to buy a new car, which means I am soooooooo not gonna be hauling like this for a while. But that's OK -- you know I have a LOT of pretties to play with. If only buying a car were as much fun as buying polish ... !

The rules: If I bought other items at one store along with polish, I won't include the tax, just the total amount I spent on polish. Additionally, swaps or anything I bought as a gift for someone else won't figure into this and won't count. I also will edit this blog entry to reflect the true numbers in case I buy something that wasn't recorded at the time of the original posting.

          Heyooooo.

I'll be back next month to ~unveil my plans~ re: my money. In the meantime, happy Christmas shopping! Will you be putting up your tree or enjoying Small Business Saturday this weekend?

P.S. Here is all the Black Friday damage I inflicted, circa 7 p.m. last night. My parents' Target was pretty much cleaned out (I only scored "The Good Wife" and "Red 2" for good though non-sale prices), but Best Buy hooked me up.

Now I think I understand why the guys ringing me up at Best Buy have been trying to flirt with me for the past three years, even though I look like a complete scrub when I show up.

          1. Oooh Futurama! I haven't started picking those up yet. I am hanging onto the last season on my DVR. To facilitate other DVR cleaning out, I ordered these from Amazon: Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness (2 DVDs), Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 (complete series) and seasons 1 and 2 of Happy Endings. Those two seasons of Happy Endings were less than $15 each, but season 3 is $45! So haven't bought season 3, yet.

We saw Pacific Rim in the theater and got it on DVD, but haven't watched DVD yet. I missed Red 2 so I will see that soon, maybe on demand unless it is worth having on DVD and we have the first one? We need to see The World's End, missed it in the theaters (watching Hot Fuzz right now, made me think of it).

The Wolverine is coming out 12/3...

            1. Season 3 of "Happy Endings" only had a couple of episodes that were really good -- other than that, it was a huge mess and I almost don't blame it for being cancelled. I picked up Seasons 1 and 2 on Black Friday last year for $8 at Target ... it was so epic.

"Pacific Rim" was on sale this Black Friday for $7.99 or something like that, so I thought, what the hell, I can get it. I think "Red 2" was just as good if not better than the first one (which I loved!). And as for "The World's End," it was just not my favorite of the Cornetto trilogy, but that's just me.

            1. Awesome! I'm glad someone else can endorse that Julie G purple. :D I saw ALU's swatches, but I'm not sure how I feel about those glitters in the L'Oreal Gold Dusts yet ...
